Dave Farnham

Dave Farnham was the winner of the prestigious “Prospects Drawing Competition” 2004 for his innovative process which uses photography as a drawing medium.
He makes use of special effects using toy soldiers and fuse wire to deploy explosions that create dynamic graphic lines. Dave Farnham's theatrical mock photographs of soldiers in battle-scenes play with the concept of warfare and its relation to game playing. Similar effects are applied reinventing the genre of Still Life and the depiction of the Cold War chess encounters between Spassky and Fischer.
